Forensic Pathologist Dr. Tan Ran Zhi to Lead Forensic Workshop
Oneworld Hanxin College will hold a workshop entitled "Silent Witnesses: Forensic Autopsy and Truth Tracking" on June 27th (Saturday) at 10:00 AM. The workshop will take the public into the real world of forensic work, allowing them to understand how forensic medicine reconstructs the truth through professional investigation and autopsy.This workshop will feature renowned Malaysian forensic pathologist Dr. Tan Ran Zhi as the speaker. Dr. Tan has worked in the forensic department since 2012 and currently serves as the head of the forensic department at Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor. He is also a visiting lecturer in forensic medicine at Universiti Teknologi MARA, Taylor's University, and Universiti Cyberjaya in Malaysia.
In addition to his extensive experience in forensic medicine, Dr. Tan is also a well-known bestselling author, having written *The Testimony of the Deceased—I Am Forensic Pathologist Tan Ran Zhi*, *A Record of Dialogue Between the Deceased and the Forensic Pathologist—Daily Work at the Autopsy Table*, *Tan Ran Zhi: Forensic Mystery Records*, and *Forensic Study Abroad Notes—My Days in Italy*.
In this three-hour workshop, forensic pathologist Dr. Tan will demystify the field, guiding the public through the realities of forensic work. The workshop will cover the daily routines of forensic work, autopsy procedures and related rights, and real-life case studies. A highlight of the workshop is Dr. Tan's hands-on demonstration and explanation of animal cardiopulmonary dissection, allowing participants to directly understand how forensic pathologists find crucial evidence through dissection and observation.
The workshop fee is RM 200 per person, with a RM 300 package available (for two people). The fee includes lunch and an e-certificate. To ensure the best learning experience, the course is limited to 30 participants. The registration deadline is June 19, 2026, or until all places are filled.
