Hanxin Logo

The logo adopted by the college in 2018 uses “H” (Han) and “X” (Xin) as the primary design elements. The two thick lines symbolize the college’s two major visions.

Visions:

  1. Cultivating a new force in media
  2. Expanding global perspectives

The six thin lines represent the college’s principles.

The design concept is innovative, with a soft style and clear, concise lines and colours. The thick and thin lines intertwine and connect, forming a box-like shape that appears three-dimensional. This symbolizes the college's roots in the local community while maintaining a global outlook in the digital information age. It reflects the college's unwavering commitment to continuously adapt to the rapidly changing information landscape and its dedication to providing high-quality higher education.

History of Oneworld Hanxin College

Oneworld Hanxin College was founded in 1988 by the late Mr. Lim Keng Hun, who upheld the philosophy of "education for all". With affordable tuition fees, the college aimed to provide higher education opportunities to students from underprivileged backgrounds and was committed to nurturing professional talents in the field of communication.

In 2018, Mr. Tan In Fong took over as MD and initiated a campus relocation project to comprehensively upgrade the college’s facilities, laying a strong foundation for its transformation and development.

Originating with communication studies, the college has continuously updated its curriculum and teaching content while modernizing its professional equipment. It is steadily progressing toward becoming a diversified and high-quality institution.

Recognizing the importance of interdisciplinary integration for future development, the “Oneworld Hanxin Education” was established in 2022 along with the “Centre for Vocational and Continuing Education”. Multiple vocational programs were launched to help students acquire industry-relevant practical skills and knowledge, thereby enhancing their employability.

The core of vocational education lies in the development of occupational skills. However, we believe that skills training must be integrated with theoretical understanding in order to achieve true professionalism. Therefore, our vocational programs emphasize “hands-on and minds-on” learning, promoting both practical and intellectual growth.

The centre was officially upgraded to Hanxin Vocational College. Its programs now comply with the National Occupational Skills Standards (NOSS), offer Malaysian Skills Certification (SKM), and are recognized by the government.
