"Create · Innovate · Future: Multidisciplinary Innovation" Workshop Successfully Unleashing the Diverse Potential of Youth Development

Organized by Oneworld Hanxin College, the "Create · Innovate · Future: Multidisciplinary Innovation" Workshop was successfully held on June 6 and 7, attracting 50 youths aged 16 and above. Through participation in eight themed workshops, participants explored various career paths in depth, gaining valuable insights and enthusiastic responses.

The two-day workshop featured workshops on career planning, game coding, multimedia design, dessert and baking, specialty coffee latte art, beauty and wellness, performing arts, and music. The curriculum blended hands-on activities with experiential learning, enabling students to engage directly with different industries, discover their interests, and reflect on their future directions.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Tan In Fong, MD of Oneworld Hanxin College, emphasized the institution’s long-standing commitment to practice-oriented and creativity-driven education. He expressed hope that camps like this would provide young people with early exposure to diverse fields and inspire multidimensional thinking. "When youth are given opportunities to explore," he said, "they are more empowered to make informed decisions about their future."

Mr. Chen Wei Kin, Head of the Centre for Professional and Continuing Education at the college, shared during the “Career Planning” workshop that career development should not be confined by traditional expectations. “Success can be found in every field — the key is passion and perseverance,” he said. He encouraged participants to pursue their dreams with courage and to unlock their potential without limiting themselves to a single path.

Many participants expressed that the camp not only offered a preliminary understanding of various professions but also sparked hope and curiosity about the future. One attendee shared, “I learned so many new things, and it was really fun. I got to learn about different industries, and I hope this kind of event happens again.”

The "Create · Innovate · Future: Multidisciplinary Innovation" Workshop aimed to help youths explore technical and creative fields through a diverse curriculum, broaden their horizons, and inspire dreams. The college plans to continue offering similar initiatives in the future to support young people in developing clearer career plans.
